So this weekend was a girls weekend....Daddy, Papa, Uncle Max, and Uncle Luke all went to Detroit to watch the Indy Car Race! Friday morning after Daddy got off to the airport Nana picked us up and took us to get my friend Heidi and her baby Maya, and we all went to a new play date at the library in Augusta (the capitol of Maine). They sang songs and read stories and then let the babies play! It was fun--except the part where I sat in some mystery liquid--Im pretending it was bubble liquid or water from the newly cleaned toys--I hate to think it might have "belonged" to anyone! Ahhhhh!!! Ok, moving on...the librarian also blew bubble for the kids to play with and Katy LOVED them! She was one of the only ones chasing them around. I said "look Kate-Bubbles!" So she started grabbing them and saying bubba bubba! Soooo cute! Then we went shopping to get Katy a swimsuit for this fall in the heated pool at the YMCA--Did I mention that I just got Katy signed up for a discovery baby class there? We start next Monday. She will get to dance and sing, play music, make art and learn more baby signs! They also have an open gym time where she can play on the blue mats an climb on, through and under stuff! AND---they have an open swim time too! So....all that said, we needed a bigger swimsuit! Ok, so where were we? Oh yes, Friday night Nana came back over with homemade Mac and cheese!! Im sure I gained like 15 lbs this weekend because I ate the left overs for lunch Sat, Sun, and Today! hahahah It was just soo good! Saturday we made lots and lots and lots (did I say lots) of cookies for the Colby college students. Then Nana came back over and we we to eat at Applebees...Katy was in a rotten mood however, because of her new arrivals (three--maybe four- new teeth) But, we had good food! Sunday Nana took Katy to church with her because I had a big day --we started our new childrens church program and I taught Sunday school--it would have been a long day in the nursery for Katy! It was a good day, but I was glad to get home to Katy and said mac and cheese! :) After Katys nap, we played outside with bubbles (thank you Nana) and then changed into shorts and walked (ok-I walked Katy rode) to Gifford's (an ice cream shop not too far from our house). Katy got a FREE baby cone of Red Rasp. sorbet! Needless to say she was very red on the way home- sorry no pics of that. So today Katy has been a trooper playing in the playroom with her little people while I have been cleaning and baking! I got the house all nice for daddy and made some banana bread! yummy! Hopefully he will be happy to come home to his girls..cause we sure have missed him! :)
Oh wow--more of those bubba things! Hey! Come back here!
I must have that bubble...
Big bubba!Ok, enough bubbas--let go get some Ice Cream!
