So guess what we did again today....give up? We went to the apple orchard --yeah--again! And can I just ask why is it that in the middle of July it was like 60 degrees for like a week straight and now every time I go apple picking it is a scorcher! No really it was only 85 today, but dang- I was going for the whole "it's fall--look at us picking apples" kind thing, and there I was sweating like it was the 4th of July in Texas! Anyhow, this was the third orchard Katy and I have been to in the past month or so. This time Daddy got to come too! Yippie! Well, I must commend "The Apple Farm" in Fairfield, because they have the best orchard so far. Family--if any of you ever come up here-hint hint--I will have to take you there--its a real Maine apple orchard--95yrs old and still pickin--uh..I mean...kickin. The only bad thing about it (besides being like an oven) was that about 80 percent of the apples were dented from the crazy hail storm at the end of the summer, so it took extra long to pick a peck :) Actually I was gonna get a whole bushel, but it was so hard to find perfect ones that I only had time to get a 1/2 bushel. Oh well, that is still a whole lotta apples!! Yummay! Ok, picture time! :)
Yummay!
