Well, it has been a while since I last blogged because Katy and I got sick for a week and then I was just really tired and busy...so anyways, here are some cute pictures of the Kiddo acting all grown up!
Side note--I am just wondering--exactly how long do the terrible twos last??? I dont know if I can take 9 more months of this!! AHHH!!! I want my sweet little girl back!! Please say a little prayer for me to be gentle and loving in my handling of this "battle" with her. Lord knows I dont want to yell at her all day long and I for sure dont want to spank...I just cant fight with a toddler!! Help someone! AHHHH!!
Ok, back to the photos of Katy...being..cute--she saves the fits for when we are in public places surrounded by judgemental people! (Ok, and can I just vent for one more sec---why they heck do other moms give that judgey face when you know that their kid has either acted that way before or will soon---shame on you!!) Grrr!!!
Ok, Ok, Im really going to be ok, here are the pictures!!
A calm and relaxing moment...who is she fooling???
Take a look at the blocks...she actually put them in a pattern--that is SOOO my kid!! Oh--and two things: 1--Daddy dressed her and 2--He wont let me get her bangs cut!!

Please, my friend, I know you have before, but pray about the spanking thing...seriously. It's not abuse...there is a right way to do it that ends in hugs, saying "I'm sorry," and prayer. Just a mommy of 4 giving you unwanted advice, I'm sure :) I'll call you back soon, I promise! Oh, and that museum looks awesome!!
I hear you, and for some kids I think it might work, but not Katy...when I did try a spank before she laughed at me. I tried to spank her a little harder the next time so she would not laugh and I made a "hand print" on her buns...I decided that it was not a good idea. She does well with time out, but it doesnt work in public places...where she acts up the most. I have tried... :(
I chuckled (in a nice way, big smile) reading your blog...I was just the opposite...in public..I was an angel...had one tantrum that Mom can recall...but in private? holyyyyyyyyy cow! let's see my "terrible two's" lasted..hmm til about 19 when I moved out? LOL! I am hoping the "looks" you get are being misread...could pleeeeeeasssse, everyone's kid gets fussy! Now that I have scared you...I do believe this phase ends...from what my Mom tells me. seriously, it ends. big hug!
Speaking from a mom who sees you in public and at play dates all the time, I think you are doing a wonderful job!! Who in the world is giving you looks?! I think the timeouts are working wonders and you seem so in control, so don't worry girl. You have the supermom thing going on and they will *all* learn to push our mommy buttons. I think Katy found yours--HA HA! Hang in there and don't be so critical of yourself (or Katy), it will--and does--happen to us all! Let's just all sigh together....Sigh. XO, dana
