Christmas already?

Wasnt I just writing a blog about how Christmas had snuck up on me?? How is it that a year has already passed?? Seriously--WHERE DOES TIME GO?? Well, anyways, here it is again, and perhaps because Im working this year, it seems to be approaching even faster! I must admit that I had actually thought about skipping the decorations this year, but after a festive weekend, the Christmas bug has finally got ahold of me! We started out having a date night Friday and doing our Christmas shopping! I just love buying Katy new books!! It is always so fun to read new material! haha! So after all that shopping, I couldnt just stick the presents under the couch--no--they deserved a better display, so out came the boxes! I dragged them up from the basement all by myself (Tim was working) and started unpacking them as Katy watched. "What doing Mommy" she kept asking me. "Im getting out our Christmas decorations baby". She starts dancing around the living room saying "It's Christmas time! It's Christmas time! I excited!!" It was too cute! She helped me deck the halls and even helped put together the nativity! We had a nice talk about the first Christmas and the baby Jesus. She was pretty interested! Then we snuggled up on the couch and watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! She thought it was pretty good! As I looked around the room at my beautiful home and all of my childhood ornaments (and Santa Paddington Bear), I held my big girl a little tighter and realized that I am now "grown up"! I have a family of my own and I am the one out doing the Christmas shopping and hidding the treasures! I am the one on the couch with my little girl watching Rudolph! Now THAT--is something to be excited about! What a wonderful life! :) Unfortunatly, my camera is out of batteries (which is why I havent been blogging lately), so the pictures of the decorations will be later, but for now enjoy some of Katy playing with her buddy India on Friday night!

Oh yes, Katy has arrived!
India is a fast learner! haha!Katy and India playing in Dia's room.
Katy looks like she is telling Dia a little secret (like--"this is how we get an extra hour of play time" hehe)
Katy and Dia embrace one last time before hopping into bed! (Dana said they were "talking" in bed for quite a while after lights out!) What little girls!! :) How sweet!
