A Sick Day...

So far I have eaten lunch at school everyday since I started working this year. Yesterday, however, I decided to run to the post office on my break. Wouldn't you know that the one time I leave the building, Katy's school calls! I got back and there was a message for me to call the school. No details! I was freaking out! Turns out she had a fever of 103 :( I left right away and went to pick her up. I brought her home and stuck her on the couch with pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, and a smoothie! As she was sitting there, I realized that we did this about this time last year (minus the me working bit). I remembered how she felt so bad that I decided to give her a Christmas present to open and it cheered her up a little, so I thought why not try again....only this time Daddy had a few stipulations! She had to eat all her oatmeal before she could open the gift. We turned it into a little "peep" show! Don't get the wrong idea! We just opened the package a little more after each bite until it was all the way open! She was very pleased and her belly was full (that's a first!).
