4th of July

Well, this will be a short post seeing that our 4th was flooded :( BOOO!!! This honest truth is that it has rained for 25 of the past 28 days! What is up with that??? I can tell you that every Mainer is sick of this rain and praying for a little summer in the short months that we have left. I just hope we actually get to go to the pool a few times before it closes next month! What a bumber of a summer--Our spring was actually warmer and sunnier! :( Oh well. I am hopeful that this has been the last of it and that the end of this week will begin summer--for REAL! Stay tuned!

Ok, so here are our 4th of July pics. After our red white and blue breakfast (pancakes with raspberries and blueberries), we went down to the Winslow Family 4th of July Celebration. Katy had just enough time to ride the pony, feed the goats and jump in the bounce house before it started raining. We did manage to grab some hot dogs, fries, and fried dough (this is the New England version of a funnel cake--personally--I prefer the funnel cake, but I guess fried dough is fried dough). After eating our food under a tent while listening to a 60's cover band, we headed home for a nap. Then we ventured out to the camp. We ate some good food and saw many of the people that work for Tim's step-dad, Steve, at his dental practice (they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary-and the 4th!) We headed home thinking the rain would stop so that we could make it out to see the fireworks. Winslow is supposed to have the biggest display in Maine-not quite a Kaboom town, but pretty good. Anyways, it rained, and rained, and --yeah-- rained some more. So, no fireworks for the Taylors. They did go ahead with the show, but Tim was not about to let me drag him and our almost 3 year old out in the cold rain to watch. We ended up watching the D.C. and N.Y.C. fireworks on TV with the surround sound and a bowl of cocoa puffs. Not quite the bang I was hoping for, but we did make the best of it. So, I hope your 4th was way better, if not, you must be one of my Mainer friends reading this. Haha! ;) Here's looking forward to next year's show! (Oh- and this is REALLY weird--we told Katy that when we see them next year we will have our new baby with us! --The baby will be 7 months then!! CRAZY!!) Ok, enjoy the pictures! BTW- these pictures are in the wrong order. I have messed with them for 10 minutes to put them how they belong, but something is wrong with the blogger. It wont let me highlight and drag, so just look at them from bottom to top or forgive the weird "storyline ".

Katy and me this morning before church... She looks like a little girl in the 30's right??
I just thought she looked so cute today! :)This was right when we came home yesterday from the Winslow 4th thing in the park. Katy's clothes were wet and "itchy" so so got down to her undies! Cute picture! haha So sweet!Katy and me getting ready to go down to the festivities...

She went right for the blow up horse in the bounce house! She is just soo into ponies!!

Going through the tunnel

I helped her feed the goat the ice cream cone...she was a bit nervous.

"Give me some of that"
They slimed me :(
She enjoyed the baby goats!

It was so hard to feed the little ones because the big ones are so stingy! They literally push the baby ones out of the way and take all the food!
Katy was so unsure, she thought it would be better if I fed them.
So...am I singing?? Not sure

Katy was ear to ear grinning the entire ride. (Which lasted all of 30 seconds--for just $5.00!!--Rip off!!--Glad she has a pony party coming in two weeks!!)
The pony was named "Frost" and she talked about him ALLLLL day! (This morning too!) She wants to ride him again and jump with him! Crazy girl!!
"Maybe someday I have pony?"
