My Little Mermaid

Katy had her first swim lesson today at the Y. I was shocked when my friend Sue told me the lessons were only $10!! Wow! My goal is to get through this session and then see about getting Katy signed up for the fall session at the indoor pool (the water is 92 degrees!). Im hoping that by next summer she will be "somewhat" safer to take to the pool when I have a little one on my hip. She did really great today! She was one of the few that jumped right in and did everything the instructors told her to do. :) I was proud of her. She was pretty happy with herself too! I also met another mom that has a 3 year old (Ava) in the class and one on the way. She is due in late Nov. Oh- and her name is Angela! Funny! We hit it off right away and the girls were instant buddies inviting each other over to play! Only problem is that her husband is a doctor that practices in Farmmington and Holton (basically the north pole) and they are looking for a house in another city. :( There is a chance they might buy in the Oakland area which is just next door to Waterville, so here is hoping! It would be great to have another mommy friend in the exact same "boat" as me. She is going to understand what I am going through come winter time! Anyways, I will just have to be praying about that. I think they are Christians, too. Not sure how much of a relationship she has with Lord, but we did talk about church a little. It seems to come up when you are a children's director! hah! Anyways, I think this could be a great new friend! :) Swim lessons may be the start of something great for both of us! Ok, so check out the pictures of my girl in the pool! Poor thing was freezing her hiney off! It was about 82 today, but the water was cold and it was partly cloudy this morning. After each dip she would come to me to get in her towel and warm up! She did good though, all in all! Great day!

The woman in the white t-shirt is Angela :) Katy is pointing to me!

Cant you tell how excited she is?
The red head is Ava. Make sure you click on this picture to enlarge it so you can see how happy Katy's face was! Waiting her turn.
